We are delighted to hear that Mickleover Sports student Morgan Williams is currently on trial at Championship club Sheffield United.
The 18 year old central defender, now in his second year with NPLFA, made his first team debut for Sports back in April and has been an ever present in the John McGraths’s first team squad ever since.
Morgan found success in his first year after being named in the team of the year and the NPLFA’s Inter-league squad, the highlight coming in May when he scored the winning goal in the Grand Final to win his club their third consecutive NPLFA championship.
Morgan’s hard work has now been recognised by Sheffield United, who have awarded him with the opportunity to showcase his talents by inviting him on trial.
He took part in their U23’s 3-2 success over Bolton Wanderers last week and impressed with a commanding performance against many older and experienced professional players.
