DAN HOSIER - 74TH FIRST TEAM DEBUT

Congratulations to #ESPFABuckinghamshire second year student, Dan Hosier who made his first team debut for Chesham United last night.

Hosier becomes the 74th ESPFA student to make a competitive debut for the first team of our partner clubs. He started the Berks and Bucks FA Senior Cup game in net for ‘The Generals’ and helped his side to a comfortable 1-3 win away at Wantage Town.

It was a dream debut for Hosier, who saved a penalty in the second half to help his side to victory. This makes it two penalty saves in two games for Hosier, who also saved a penalty in his last ESPFA South Division fixture v Kidlington last week.

The Chesham United manager, James Duncan was full of praise for the #ESPFABuckinghamshire student and commended him for his performance. He said: “He saved the penalty, he made a great one on one save where the lad has been played in, he’s come out and been big. He had a relatively quiet night but everything he did do, he did it with purpose and I thought he had a good game.”

The win means Chesham will face Hungerford Town in the second round of the Berks and Bucks FA Senior Cup game and they are back in action on Saturday where they face Truro City at home.
