FIVE ESPFA DERBYSHIRE STUDENTS INVOLVED IN FIRST TEAM FRIENDLY

Our player pathway partners Belper Town hosted a mid season friendly against Burton Albion on Tuesday evening with five of our ESPFA Derbyshire students who are representing the Nailers this season involved in the 1-1 draw.

Lewis Austin and Leighton Thomas have already made their first team debuts this season becoming the latest ESPFA football graduates at numbers #84 and #85 respectively. With Austin currently sideline with an injury, defender Thomas was joined by second year student Thomas Pegg and first year students Loui Carrington, Ewan Sutherill and Deon Corsham and all five impressed first team manager Lee Attenborough with top goalscorer Sutherill scoring the hosts only goal of the game.

Carrington, Sutherill, Pegg and Corsham will all be hoping to impress in the final games of the ESPFA season - where they currently sit top of the Midlands division and still in the ESPFA Cup - and in first team training to try and emulate Austin and Thomas with a first team debut.

The inclusion of all five students last night is testament to pathways and the brilliant facilities that are available to local Derbyshire youngsters at Belper Town Football Club.
