LEWIS BELGRAVE | 6TH GRADUATE

Congratulations to 16 year old student Lewis Belgrave who made his semi-professional debut on Saturday when he came on for the last ten minutes against Darlington in front of 450 spectators.

The midfielder has had a good start to the season, scoring his first goal on the opening day of the season and has been an integral part of Sports FA Youth Cup run which unfortunately came to an end on Thursday night.

Belgrave who became the first Mickleover Sports Academy student and the sixth NPL Football Academy student overall to make their semi-professional bow commented “I found out i was in the squad the day before when my coach John told me in the changing rooms. I was nervous but John and Andy (Academy coaches) helped me fit in easily. I felt good after the game, the loss was unfortunate but making my debut so young felt amazing.”

Well done and continue to work hard Lewis from everyone at the NPL Football Academy.
