LUKE JOHNSON - 72ND FIRST TEAM DEBUT

Congratulations to #ESPFASomerset student Luke Johnson, who made his first team debut for Frome Town last night. His first appearance for the first team in a competitive match came in a 1-2 victory away at Bishops Lydeard in Round Two of the Somerset Cup.

The second year student was named on the bench for the game but was called upon in the second half to replace Jack Whitcombe and help see out the win. His fellow #ESPFASomerset teammates, Lucas Schwalbe-Goodwin and Tom Roberts also featured in the game. Roberts, the academy goalkeeper was an unused substitute whilst Schwalbe-Goodwin was also brought on in the second half.

'The Robins' now progress into the third round of the Somerset Cup and are back in action on Saturday where they face AFC Totton in the FA Trophy.

It is a delight to see ESPFA students getting the opportunity of a clear pathway into the semi-professional game and being involved in the first team set up.
