MATCHWEEK ELEVEN - REVIEW

Due to the awful weather seen up and down the country last week resulting in water logged

pitches, only two fixtures went ahead in #MatchweekEleven of the NPLFA season.

In the Joma Division, Stafford Rangers drew 2-2 with Witton Albion. The result meant

Stafford remain in fourth, level on points with Belper Town and Radcliffe ahead of them and

a point for Witton sees them remain in seventh.

The other fixture to go ahead was in the Sports Traider Division where Widnes faced

Skelmersdale United. A brace from Connor Hughes helped the home side to a 3-0 win in this

North West derby. Hughes also earned himself the title of ‘Player of the Week!’ for

#MatchweekEleven. Widnes got to top of the table and move above Skelmersdale United in

the Sports Traider Division.

The remaining fixtures in #MatchweekEleven were both fiercely competitive and there was

some brilliant performances put in from players on all four teams. Congratulations to all

players nominated by their coaches for #TeamOfTheWeek and a special mention to Connor

Hughes of Widnes academy who was named as ‘Player of the Week’ for his performances in

See all the match highlights and goal action from #MatchweekEleven in this week’s addition
