#MatchweekTwentyFive – Preview

With most of the students enjoying a well-deserved break for easter half-term, just one fixture takes place this week from the South Division.

Key Matchup

Chesham United v Frome Town

In the only game of #MatchweekTwentyFive, Chesham United host Frome Town in a South Division matchup.

Both teams go into this game level on 10 points, with two wins and four draws each. Chesham United are playing their final divisional game however so will be desperate to end their divisional campaign with a win and put some distance between themselves and Frome Town. Frome Town on the other hand still have two fixtures left to play including tomorrow’s fixture and two wins form their remaining games could see them climb to as high as third spot in the table, so there is a lot to play for.

In their previous meeting in the division back in November, these two sides played out a six-goal thriller, with the game ending in a 3-3 draw. Chesham United seemed to be in. the driving seat after two early goals had them up 2-0 at half-time but a late surge from Frome Town and brace from Joe Evemy-Bradley helped them earn a point. Chesham United did manage to come out on top in their meeting in the cup competition with a 1-0 victory in a tightly contested game. On that occasion it was Abdul Zaman’s strike that settled the game.

With the season coming to a close and final places in the South Division at stake, this should have the makings of another thriller like we saw between the two sides in November.
