MIDLANDS PLAYERS OF THE HALF TERM - APR 23

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

Congratulations to all students who have been nominated at the club they represent 'Player of the Half Term'.

Here, the coaches explain why they have chosen their respective students for their quality and attitude on the training pitch and their performances in the league and cup games over the last five/six weeks.

ESPFA NOTTINGHAMSHIRE (Carlton Town)

KIERAN JAMES has been fantastic over the last five/six weeks! His attitude has been first class and so have his performances! As a first year, Kieran is adapting to the programme and the training really well and should be proud of his achievements”

- Luke Weatherall

ESPFA DERBYSHIRE (Belper Town)

“My player of the half term is LEIGHTON THOMAS. First class work in the classroom and consistently performs well in games and training. Well done Leighton."

- Dean Roome

ESPFA DERBYSHIRE (Mickleover FC Black)

MOJEED IPAYE has been fantastic for us over the past half term. He has a brilliant attitude and wants to learn which has really helped him improve. He’s a great defender 1v1 and has now started to show the ability to step out of defence and pass or dribble with the ball making him a much more complete player.”

- Joe Czechowski

ESPFA DERBYSHIRE (Mickleover FC Red)

CORIE WHITECROSS has excelled over the last half term both with his performances in games, showing he can play several different roles within the team, but where Corie has really gone above and beyond is his attendance, attitude and application in training. He gives his best every single day, he will do additional training where he can and asks questions on how he can improve different aspects of his game. He has shown recently how much he wants to learn and that he wants to be the best he can be.”

- Sam Elliott

ESPFA STAFFORDSHIRE (Stafford Town)

ARCHIE DAVIS applies himself well on and off the pitch. Archie shows commitment to learn and always has the correct mindset to develop as a player and is a team player which is one of his super strengths."

- James Cliff

ESPFA WEST MIDLANDS (Rushall Olympic Black)

“My player of the half term is ENOCH DANSO. He has been excellent in games, has trained well and is starting to get hold of emotions in games. Well done Enoch."

- Steve Cooke

ESPFA WEST MIDLANDS (Rushall Olympic Amber)

COBIE HODGKISS has been outstanding this last half term. His organisation and his leadership skills have been exceptional. Cobie has also shown great technical quality and decision making."

- Steve Hinks
