More than three hundred players, managers, club officials and their friends and families saw former Liverpool and Wales forward Dean Saunders honour the stars of the season at the 2017 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Player of the Year Awards.
For the second time, the league’s next generation of stars were also represented, members of the NPL Football Academy’s Team of the Year and Player of the Year also collecting their accolades on stage from Saunders and EVO-STIK NPL chairman Mark Harris.
The players were chosen based on the ‘Team of the Week’ votes throughout the season with the ‘Player of the Year’ chosen by the coaches and NPLFA management staff.
The ‘Player of the Year’ went to Mickleover Sports captain Lewis Begrave after beating Euan Woods of Warrington Town in second place and Jack Dickinson (Mickleover) and Adam Leach (Radcliffe) in joint third place
