STUDENT MOVES TO SHEFFIELD UNITED

Congratulations to Matlock Town student Ashton Hall who has secured a move to newly promoted Premier League side Sheffield United and in doing so becomes the fifth NPL Football Academy student to move in to the professional game.

The defender joined the programme in September 2017 and has recently completed his two year BTEC in Sport Level 3 qualification whilst progressing through the Gladiator’s Academy side through to the first team.

Making his senior debut in September 2018 against Workington AFC, he became the Derbyshire sides eighth and the NPLFA’s thirty-seventh football graduate overall.

On behalf of everyone at the NPLFA, we would like to wish Ashton the best of luck in his new career.
