There was just one fixture scheduled in #MatchweekEighteen that saw Carlton Town take on Skelmersdale United in the North Cup.
North Cup
With Carlton Town competing in the South Division, these two sides are relatively unknown to each other which made for an exciting contest. Having played just two cup games, Skelmersdale United went into this game having won one fixture and lost the other, sitting on three points. Carlton Town on the other hand had only played one cup game in which they lost 4-1 against Brighouse Town.
Skelmersdale United started the game extremely well and two early goals from Will Green and Adam Donohue saw the hosts go 2-0 up after just 10 minutes. Green added another before half-time and Skelmersdale were in a dominant position going into the break.
In the second half, Skem United continued their strong performance and scored another two goals, with Dominic Evans scoring after 55 minutes and Will Green completing his hat trick with 20 minutes to play. FT: 5-0.

Congratulations to Skelmersdale United’s Harvey Adatsi who was named as the ‘Player of the Week’ for #MatchweekEighteen. His excellent midfield display helped his team to another win in the North Cup.
