After six games and twelve teams in action, we review all the action from #MatchweekSix as Ossett United won their first game of the campaign in the North Division, and Kidlington keep pace with Rushall Olympic (Amber) in the South Division.
North Division
In the North Division, Skelmersdale United Picked up their third win of the season and are now unbeaten in three games after a 5-2 victory over Belper. Dominic Evans netted a first half hattrick as his side went into the break 5-1 up. Skelmersdale United have now cemented their place in third and are two points behind Brighouse Town in second. Ossett United will be delighted to have picked up their first win of the season against Witton Albion. In an incredibly tight game, Alex Taylors first-half volley was enough to claim all three points and seal a 1-0 victory. The win was enough to move them above Witton Albion in the table and will be setting their sights on Mickleover in fourth spot. After the game, #ESPFAWestYorkshire student Josh Clasper was full of praise for his Ossett United academy team. He said: “Everyone was brilliant, everyone dug in, everyone wanted to win, and we all fought for each other, and I thought we communicated well and it’s just what we needed and we should be playing like that week in, week out”. On the other hand, #ESPFACheshire student and Witton Albion academy player Isaac Shaw believes his team need to come together as a group and be more positive. He said: “We definitely need to get more positive chances, we just need to get stronger as a team, right now we are eleven individuals not playing as a team”.
In the final game in the North Division, Runcorn Linnets made it five wins from five after beating Mickleover 5-2 away from home. Lucas Wilson and Mohamed Soumah both scored braces with Kai Phillpot adding another. This impressive start sees them move three points clear of Brighouse Town in second who do have a game in hand.

South Division
Rushall Olympic (Amber) continued their unbeaten run and remain at the top of the southern division table after a convincing 1-6 win away at Frome Town. Tyrese Hall was back on the scoresheet, finding the back of the net four times with Kristian Storer adding two more to his tally. Kidlington managed to win 1-0 against Chesham United to keep the pressure on Rushall Olympic (Amber) at the top of the division. Zack Evans scored the only goal of the game early in the second half to hand Kidlington the three points. The Greens remain level on points with Rushall Olympic (Amber) but remain in second due to the #ESPFAWestMidlands side having a better goal difference. Elsewhere, the Rushall Olympic (Black) cohort have moved up to third after a second consecutive win over Carlton Town. In another closely contested affair between the two sides, Ellias Nianzou scored what was the winner after 25 minutes. Both team were pushing to score the second goal but Rushall Olympic (Black)’s defence stood strong to earn them the three points.
