MATCH REPORT: OSSETT UNITED V DEWSBURY RANGERS CHARITY GAME

Over £1200 was raised for Marie Curie after the #ESPFAWestYorkshire students at Ossett United faced off against Dewsbury Rangers in front of a crowd of over 140 people.

The match finished 3-0 with Carl Clarkson opening the scoring for the hosts and Bailey Hall netting a brace.

Ossett United started the game on top and dominated for large parts in the first half. Regan Dixon came close with an audacious attempt of a bicycle kick before Carl Clarkson turned the ball home from close range after a scramble in the Dewsbury Rangers penalty box.

In the second half, Ossett United picked up from where they left off before the break and soon found themselves 2-0 up thanks to Bailey Hall. A corner whipped in from Keel Del-Grande was met by the head of Hall from close range

The third goal for Ossett United came from a well worked move down the right-hand side. Sam Hellawell burst down the flank and drilled a low cross towards Owen Gerrard, who dummied the cross to allow Bailey Hall to hammer it home.

It was a comfortable win for the hosts and a good run out in front of a large crowd, but the most important part was seeing the ESPFA students raising money for a wonderful cause. You should all be extremely proud, well done.

FT: Ossett United 3-0 Dewsbury Rangers.
