MIDLANDS PLAYERS OF THE HALF TERM - FEB 24

Congratulations to all students who have been nominated at the club they represent 'Player of the Half Term'.


Here, the coaches explain why they have chosen their respective students for their quality and attitude on the training pitch and their performances in the league and cup games over the last six/seven weeks.



ESPFA DERBYSHIRE (Belper Town Black)


"MORAD SHWEIKH has had a great half term. He has shown great ability to dribble with the ball and to play under pressure. He’s shown a really good instinct in front of goal and scored a number of goals in our recent games. Morad shows great desire to improve and is a top player to coach.”

"LOUI CARRINGTON’s leadership and attitude towards training and matches has been fantastic all season and has been a key player in teams success so far with some excellent defensive performances and he is also a threat from set pieces contributing with goals.”

"RYAN MEEHAN’s technical ability on the ball is fantastic he is able to move the ball with speed and change direction with good technical balance he has scored 6 goals in 3 matches. A class act in training and in games!”

"Over the past six weeks, ETHEN COLE-TONKS has given consistent performances in which he has become a stalwart at the heart of defence. He has shown improved tactical understanding in his all-round game, whilst demonstrating real leadership qualities through leading by example to his fellow peers. He needs to have more confidence and belief in his abilities at times as he is an invaluable member of the Borrowash team.”
