The NPL Football Academy (NPLFA) is delighted to announce that Radcliffe student Dylan Euston is progressing onto the NPLFA’s ‘Undergraduate Sports Degree’ in partnership with Loughborough College.
Since creating the programme in 2017, the NPLFA are offering two types of blended learning courses that will last three years – a BSc in Sports Coaching to gain valuable work experience at a semi-professional club while obtaining coaching qualifications and a BSc in Sports Management covering the football industry and a host of cross-transferable skills.
The defender is now extending his stay with the NPLFA and cannot wait to begin in September. “I’m looking forward to starting the university degree course next month. I am excited to learn more about the sporting and footballing world as a whole. My ambitions after I finish the degree course is to go into football as I have already got my FA level 1 coaching badge, so I will aim to gain more badges and climb the ranks as a football coach, then one day hopefully work in an academy and pass my knowledge on to others”
It has been an enjoyable and productive two years on the programme at Radcliffe both on and off the pitch for Dylan. “My highlight would be coming runners up in the league last season and also reaching the semi-finals of the NPLFA Cup. I have found the BTEC in Sport Level 3 enjoyable because I have learnt things about football and sport that I didn’t know like nutrition, creating session plans, planning first and exercise plans etc and it’s been a real eye opener in expanding my knowledge of football. One final highlight would be that I’ve made a lot of new friends that I would of never met if I didn’t join the programme at Radcliffe.”
With those thoughts and experiences gained over the last two years, Dylan gives the programme his full backing to any school leavers who are looking to do the same with the NPLFA. “ I would definitely recommend the NPLFA programme to school leavers who are looking to gain a career in football and gain better technical skills on the pitch and improve on their knowledge on the game itself. It is a great programme”
