PROGRESSION WEEK – JOSH BRADY

The NPL Football Academy (NPLFA) is delighted to announce that Belper Town student Josh Brady is progressing to university to study Sports and Exercise Science.

Josh joined the programme back in 2016 and will now take his place at the University of Derby in September. “I am going to the University of Derby for three years to study Sports and Exercise Science. I am not sure what career I would like to progress to at this moment in time. I know that I want a career in sport for sure in a role as a personal trainer or maybe something I discover in the future at university.

The 18 year old was chosen as Belper’s ‘Student of the Year’ last week and has had a very productive two years on the programme. “During my time at the academy I have enjoyed a lot of things, but mostly the environment which is filled with positivity, laughter and determination.

“The highlight for me is probably playing in the FA Youth Cup and the constant progression I achieved with close friends. I would 100% recommend the course to school leavers due to the opportunities it provides to progress in education or football.”

Everyone at the NPLFA would like to wish Josh the very best of luck at the University of Derby and we look forward to catching up with him on his first year of university in 2019.
