The NPL Football Academy (NPLFA) is delighted to announce that Leek Town student Liam Grzegorzek is progressing to university to study sports development and coaching.

Liam joined the programme back in 2016 and will now take his place at Staffordshire University in September. “I am going to Staffordshire University to do a BA Hons Sports Development and Coaching course. My ambition is to become a sports coach or a teacher and this course will help me on that pathway”.

The central defender has had an enjoyable two years on the programme at Leek and will take away many memories. “I have enjoyed the education part of the programme, it’s helped me to progress to university. My highlight is probably scoring the best goal the NPLFA has ever seen in the last game of the season against Witton Albion.

“I would recommend the NPLFA to school leavers if they are interested in learning more about physical education. It is a good place to progress”

Everyone at the NPLFA would like to wish Liam the very best of luck at Staffordshire and we look forward to catching up with him on his first year of university in 2019.
