PROGRESSION WEEK – REECE LITERSKI

The NPL Football Academy (NPLFA) is delighted to announce that Belper Town student Reece Literski is progressing onto the NPLFA’s ‘Undergraduate Sports Degree’ in partnership with Loughborough College.

Since creating the programme in 2017, the NPLFA are offering two types of blended learning courses that will last three years – a BSc in Sports Coaching to gain valuable work experience at a semi-professional club while obtaining coaching qualifications and a BSc in Sports Management covering the football industry and a host of cross-transferable skills.

The 19 year old is now extending his stay with the NPLFA and is looking forward to starting in September. “I am definitely looking forward to getting started but can’t help but be a little bit nervous about the level of work required. I am looking to really do well on this course so my submissions will have to be at the best of my ability.

“The thing that most attracted me about the degree is that it gave me another chance at becoming something I’ve always wanted to be a PE teacher, doing this course will allow me to stay at home but also get my degree at a great university.”

It has been an enjoyable and challenging two years on the programme at Belper both on and off the pitch for Reece. “Going to training each day with such a good group of lads who all want the same and only want to better themselves has been my highlight. I found the BTEC in Sport Level 3 challenging at time but I would definitely recommend this programme as it gave me a opportunity to do something I’ve always wanted to do and play football for a good few seasons and now I am off to do a university degree with is great”

Everyone at the NPLFA would like to wish Reece the very best of luck on our degree course and we look forward to catching up with him during his first year.
