NORTH DIVISION STUDENT OF THE HALF-TERM - SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

Well done to the following students who have been nominated by their tutor for their clubs ‘Student of the half-term’. The hard work of our students during the first half-term of the academic year has been noted and their dedication to getting used to a new blended learning model has been excellent to see.



BELPER TOWN – CONNOR EASOM


Belper Town first-year student, Connor Eason has been named as his side’s ‘Student of the half-term’ by his tutor, Megan Turner. Turner has been pleased with the high standard of work that Connor has been producing in class. She said: “Connor has made a good start to the year and has 100% attendance and punctuality. His work is up to a very high standard and his behaviour is great in class.”



BRIGHOUSE TOWN – SAM BREARLEY


Congratulations to Brighouse Town student, Sam Brearley who has been nominated as the ‘Student of the half-term’ by his tutor, James Piercey. He has been impressed with Sam’s excellent attendance and willingness to complete all his work before the deadlines. Piercey said: “His overall levels of attendance, punctuality have been excellent with Sam often attending early and he has shown a high motivation level and attitude towards completing assignments and getting them completed before a deadline.” Sam has also been working just as hard on the football pitch and has been nominated for the North Division ‘Player of the Month’ for September/October.


MICKLEOVER – LIAM ROBERTS


Mickleover second-year student, Liam Roberts has been named as his clubs ‘Student of the half-term’ after working to a high standard over the past few weeks. His tutor, Ajay Rai said: “Liam has been chosen due to his fantastic work rate in both the classroom and training. He continues to contribute within lessons and is yet to miss a session.”



OSSETT UNITED – OWEN GERRARD


Well Done to Ossett United first year student, Owen Gerrard who has been named as the ‘Student of the half-term’ for his club, by his tutor. The Ossett United tutor, James Piercey has nominated Owen for this award for his contribution in class and quickly adapting to the remote learning. He said: “Owen has settled in very nicely to the education setting and has been exemplary within classroom and online lessons. His engagement levels have also been second to none.”


RUNCORN LINNETS – ALEX-ROMIO KENAMUINJO


Runcorn Linnets student, Alex-Romio Kenamuinjo has been put forward by his tutor for ‘Student of the half-term’ award. The defender has excelled in his first half-term on the programme and his tutor, Shadab Iftikhar has been thoroughly impressed with his work so far. He Said: Alex has shown tremendous dedication during the 1st term. He has compiled fantastic notes which are extremely detailed. He has gone beyond what is expected and continuously asked questions about the work. Alex has made an excellent start to the year”.


SKELMERSDALE UNITED – LEWIS EVANS


Congratulations to Skelmersdale United student, Lewis Evans who has been awarded the ‘Student of the half-term’ by his tutor, Shadab Iftikhar. He has been full of praise for Lewis and has enjoyed teaching him in the first half-term. He said: “Lewis has settled really well. He has shown great effort and dedication in his work. He has also supported his classmates during this term. Lewis has been a joy to teach and has worked very hard consistently.”


WITTON ALBION – QUINN GLITHERO


Well done to Witton Albion first year student, Quinn Glithero who has been nominated for this award by his tutor, Andrew Tower, who thinks Quinn has had a brilliant start to the year. He said: “Quinn has started the course fantastically well, not missing one single session and always keen to contribute to lessons. His application and overall attitude is exemplary and I'm sure this will be reflected in his grades.”
