Following on from announcing that the ESPFA reached the milestone figure of ONE HUNDREDÂ football graduates to have played for the first team of the 'player pathway partner' club they represent in the ESPFA programme on Thursday, we are delighted to announce a further two debutants taking the tally to 102.
Firstly, former ESPFA Lancashire student Joe Turner has not only made his debut for Skelmersdale United, he has played in a number of games, recently converting his spot kick in a penalty shoot out and scoring in 90 minutes on Saturday.
Joe joined the programme in 2022 and extended his football stay into 2025 where he played a huge part in the Blues ESPFA Cup success last season.
Congratulations Joe!
Also on Saturday, 2024/25 East Division 'Player of the Year' Henry Frost made his senior bow in the Nailers visit to Racing Club Warwick as a late substitute, just two days after impressing in first team training.
Henry had an excellent first year on the programme on the pitch at the heart of the Yellows defence, as the reached the league and cup finals last season.
Individual accolades followed, alongside being named East Division 'Player of the Year', he finished runner-up in the national award and was selected in the inter-league team against EFL side Oldham Athletic.
Congratulations Henry!
