NPLFA – SHIRT SPONSORS OF MICKLEOVER SPORTS

The leagues academy (NPLFA) management company Eliteform is supporting one of its member clubs by becoming their main shirt sponsor.

Mickleover Sports FC have become the first club to take up the opportunity of receiving a four figure first team shirt sponsor and as the picture shows it will carry the NPLFA logo this coming season. Mickleover Sports benefit from having a long-term strategy around the partnership through the vision of their senior leadership at the club do develop the football and education pathways. This has clearly reflected on the success and popularity of the program there.

On the football side of the programme Mickleover Sports have had great success already from the leagues academy programme with Morgan Williams one of their students recently sold to Coventry City and a number of students being taken on contract, not to forget academy club coach Andy Dales who was also sold to League One side Scunthorpe United.

Manager John McGrath (pictured) said “It’s a great offer of support from Eliteform who manage the NPLFA programme. Since its inception we have had excellent returns relating to the programme with young players we have taken on contract resulting in the sale recently of one of those former students.” He continued, “We are pleased to be further involved in the form of this shirt sponsor and all financial support helps clubs at this level and on behalf of the club we would like to thank Eliteform for their support”

An Eliteform spokesman said, “Mickleover Sports epitomises what the programme can offer clubs at this level and we are delighted to offer further support. They have had excellent success on the pitch at this level and have a manager who is not afraid of giving young players an opportunity in the first team which obviously attracts players to the club.”

The NPLFA continues to grow and by September 2019 in just five years the leagues academy will have 18 clubs (29% of the league) taking part in the programme with 22 football and education academy teams.
